Coming from Haiti in 1990, konpa and zouk has always been my passion. As a kid growing up, I loved listening to music with afro rhythm, most especially if it’s a language I couldn’t understand. I don’t know why! Deep down I always said to myself, a great sounding song is a great sounding song! The rhythm doesn’t lie!\n\nIn 2011, I was introduced to ghetto zouk by a friend of mine. A few years later, I heard Semba and Kizomba for the first time from DJ Oscar. Ever since then, I’ve come to know, appreciate, understand and love true afro rhythm and music from all over the Motherland/Angola. That has helped shape who I am today.\n\nIn 2019, a couple of friends and I started Kizomba Kente in Elizabeth, NJ. It’s a monthly event that is still going strong today! As a DJ, I’m mostly self-taught. I love spinning Konpa, Afro Zouk, Caribbean Zouk, Semba and Kizomba for everyone who appreciates great music.\n\nIf you share the same love, passion and appreciation, make me the DJ at your next event.
Dance, without the clutter.
